YOUNG LADY KILLED AFTER REFUSING TO HAVE SEX WITH BOYFRIEND.

22-year-old, Mpho Mahlangu was found allegedly badly assaulted by her boyfriend, Joshua Baloyi at Soshanguve F4 on Wednesday, 19 May 2021. The girl was reportedly drinking alcohol with the suspect before the incident at Parties Club. She was found allegedly brutally  beaten and chocked on the ground floor outside her friend’s house. The deceased was immediately rushed to Jubilee Hospital in Hammanskraal where she lost her life two days after the incident.

The alleged suspect Joshua Baloyi was arrested on Saturday 22 May 2021 and appeared at Temba Magistrate Court on Monday 24 May 2021, the matter was postponed to today where Joshua will appear in court again.

‘’A night before Mpho died, she went out with her friends and boyfriend. On their way back home from Parties Club, Joshua demanded sex forcefully in return of buying Mpho and her friends drinks at the Club. Mpho refused to have sex with him therefore the man started hitting and choking Mpho outside her friend’s house after her friends ran away’’ a confidential source  said. ‘’It is against the law for men to feel entitled to our bodies. I personally wish the suspect could get a long sentence for Mpho to get justice. Mpho was such a good person she didn’t deserve this, her friend shouldn’t have left her with this  man, that could’ve saved her life’’ the source added.

‘’I was called around 2 am by one of our neighbours, when I arrived I found her badly injured, we immediately rushed her to the hospital where she lost her life. Mpho was not fully involved with this man because we have never seen her with him, as a family we are going through emotions there isn’t anything we want more than justice for Mpho” Zandile Mahangu one of the family members said.

‘’We want justice for Mpho, men spending their money on us doesn’t mean they should feel entitled to our bodies. As women we must stop going out with unreliable friends because the friends she was with sold her to the man that murdered her” another source that chose to remain anonymous  said. This case has prompted outpouring emotions and grief to the Soshanguve community. The suspect is expected to appear in court before the end of May. We further more contacted the Hammanskraal SAPS however we had not received any feedback from them by publishing time. #ladi_jaja?
