On Monday afternoon next to Soshanguve Crossing Mall, a deceased believed to be a woman was involved in a car accident, which she succumbed to the injuries off. Keamogetse Mahlangu a witness of the incident said the deceased is a middle-aged lady who is believed to be an employee at Soshanguve Crossing, Shoprite who was hit by a car, next to Ruth First Rd, robots.
Mahlangu explained, that the car that hit this lady was a Quantum, and the drive after hitting the lady did not fled the crime scene, he took responsibility for his action. When the police arrived they took him to the police station for questioning. Furthermore, Mahlangu said that they don’t know what led to the accident whether the reboots were open or not.
“Maybe the rush that was happening of employees knocking off early due to protest and looting of shoppers might be the cause of not paying attention which led to this incident.” Mahlangu added.
Palesa on Twitter said that “It is allegedly believed the culprit is a Mabopane taxi driver because those drivers don’t stop at robots, always in a hurry, most accidents are caused by them because drivers got tendencies of fighting over passengers and driving recklessly,” she said.
We could not get a comment from the family and the SAPS said the events leading to the accident were still being investigated and a statement will be issued in due time.
