TUT VACCINATION DRIVE.

Soshanguve residents were urged to get the Jab as the Covid19 vaccination programme visited the Tshwane University of Technology at Soshanguve campus. The mobile vaccination team visited on the 12th to the 15th of November to vaccinate everyone above 18 years. The Vooma campaign is aimed at encouraging residents and students to roll up the sleeves and get vaccinated.

Sister Victoria Malatsi, one of the nurses said that “This is a vaccination drive associated with the department of health. As TUT we have an obligation to support the department of health to encourage people to take the vaccine. We encourage and motivate students to vaccinate. The goal is to vaccinate 100 and above students per day.”

Nthabiseng Malulyck “As a mentor I would like to encourage people to vaccinate in large numbers especially the youth. This is a virus that has affected us badly. We need to be ready for the coming wave. Taking the Jab may help us, please come in large numbers and get the Jab.”

Mpho Maguve “I would also like to encourage students to get vaccinated as we don’t know how strong the expected wave is gonna be.”

The chairperson of the Campaign, Reed Van Derwal said that “We need to get as many people as possible to vaccinate. What we have done is to contact places that will accommodate staff from the different clinics to come and assist. The idea is to get students and the public to vaccinate. Getting close to 500 students to vaccinate would be a greatest achievement.”
