Universities promise smooth registration processes. The Tshwane University of Technology will be open for registration from January 31 until February 25. While adhering to Covid 19 protocols is mandatory, the university spokesperson stated that online systems had been enhanced and acceptance letters will be issued containing registration guidelines to ensure a simplified registration process.

“Limited counter services have been made available for students without the facilities to register online. This has always been the strategy towards a digitally advanced university, and Covid – 19 amplifies its implementation”.
The 2022 academic year at Unisa will consist of two semesters the first being on January 4th, closing on January on January 24th, with the second being on June 20th until July 18th.
The University spokesperson – Victor Dlamini stated that there would be allowance for a late registration period if circumstances beyond the control of the University would need to be evaluated and an extension of their deadline would need to be considered.
The University of Pretoria’s Rikus Delport has confirmed postgraduate registration to be on January 3. While registration for new students is said to be scheduled to take place from January 25th with their welcome and orientation day on the 12th and from 14 to 18 February.
He further stated that lectures will commence on February 21.
