THE KINDNESS PAID WITH PAIN.

Lerato Phakoe, is a 17 year old author born and bred in Hammanskraal but currently residing in Soshanguve, Pretoria. Her love for writing started at a tender age, it was her childhood dream, since she was eleven years old and she never looked back as this year marks the 6th year for her as a writer. She also mentioned one of the things that inspired her to start writing was to voice out her views and thoughts.

She recently launched her book “The Kindness paid with Pain“, and says it has been a beautiful experience so far. She said it is a motivational book as it is based on her life experiences from betrayal, forgiveness and how to overcome the obstacles in one’s life. There were some challenges along the way mainly being, marketing and financing her book.

“It is really tough marketing a book especially when you don’t have much knowledge in the field but I had three interviews, so far one of the highlights of my career was the interview with Capricorn FM” said Lerato. As passionate and committed as she is towards her future goals and talent, she would love other young upcoming writers to follow in her footsteps “Writing is a unique gift by itself, do your part and read as much as you can and when you write never limit your knowledge because the world is in need of it,” she added.
