SOSHANGUVE RESIDENTS PROTEST FOR SERVICE DELIVERY.

Residents are on high alert in Pretoria, Soshanguve, where there is a number of people involving Soshanguve community members who took it upon themselves to close roads not far from Transfer garage over poor service delivery.

Community members said that residents at Soshanguve were protesting during early hours of Tuesday the 9nth of November after they have not received municipal accounts for a while, due to being blocked to buy electricity because their accounts  have arrears, and unilateral termination of POP without receiving any warning or a grace period for application for renewal.

“The reasons for the protest at Soshanguve Transfer it is about the poor service delivery, the community is protesting for electricity failure due to faulty transformers,” Bongani Khumalo added. Some residents further took it to different Social media platforms to warn motorist about the protest causing heavy traffic delays at Soshanguve transfer which have been barricaded with burning tyres and rocks. According to some residents the protest did not last long as roads where already being cleared allowing cars to move without disturbance. “The road is clear now, traffic is flowing,” Bongani Khumalo concluded. #ladi_jaja?
