It all began in 2009 amongst a group of peers who enjoyed acknowledging beauty and fashion so they started a group on one of the leading social networks. Through this initiative different guys and girls would send in their pictures and amongst peers they would crown the best using Likes. The trend kept on growing day by day and as a result of popular demand Face Of Sosha was born under the coordination of MWCB Entertainment.
I first heard and attended this event early 2015 at Pure Bliss Pub which is situated at Block H. Although there were some technical glitches I loved the idea and had a feeling that this was something special. Well to no surprise I received news that the event was taking place again this year, and I knew that your most reliable source of local content Tsa_Pitori needed a scoop of this. The event was hosted in April otherwise known as the freedom month and what better way to celebrate this prestigious and special month.
The event was filled with cherishing moments including performances from some of the most talented local artists. Well the girls participating in the event were rather ravishing, and befitting to compete for the title of being Face Of Sosha. The event was held at Halala Community Hall at Block H and attendance justified the end to the means. Did I mention how great the contestants looked, well I should mention it again because they really did justice to the event.
The organisers described the event as a stepping stone for young girls into being professional models and taking their craft to the next level. Thandeka was crowned the Face Of Sosha 2016/17, walking away with a cash prize of R 1 500.00, a shopping voucher and a modelling contract with MWCB Entertainment. However given the experience on the day of the event every girl must have walked away a winner.
The event is organised by a group of peers who have passion and are dedicated to what they are doing. They further emphasized “we would like to see this event one day being the biggest event in Soshanguve”. This event is not only about celebrating beauty but also celebrating woman at large and their freedom of expression using their well-crafted and God given bodies. The event also celebrates healthy lifestyle and motivates woman to take care of themselves and appreciate their bodies.
We can’t wait to see what MWCB will bring us next and if your equally anxious you can stay in touch with them at www.mwcbentertainment.co.za or www.faceofsosha.co.za we at Tsa_Pitori would like to take this moment and applaud this group of peers for a job well done. Freedom is such a powerful tool if you allow yourself the privilege to utilize it to its full capacity. That’s all we have for you with regards to Face Of Sosha for now but word of advice watch the space.
