SHAKA RESIDENCE CELEBRATES WOMEN.

Shaka Residence hosted Shaka’s women conference at Curro Hall on Wednesday 09 August 2023 from 11 am. The reason for hosting the event is to embrace women, motivate, and most of all is to build each other. Women’s day is a day where women are recognized for their achievements without regard to division whether national,ethical,linguistic ,cultural,economic or political.
Women are people who are very strong and they have a lot to deal with such as Gender Based Violence while others are single parents who can’t cope.The guest speaker of the event were Kgomotso “Phanthi” Mokwena. The theme of the event was Black with a touch of Red.
On August 9, 2023 we get to celebrate National Women’s Day. This South African holiday is celebrated every year. Women have had a long history of oppression, but every fight gets us one step closer to freedom and equality.
