RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT SOCIAL ISSUES.

Voice it in Action, a non-profit organisation which aims to raise awareness on social issues to create opportunities for all persons. According to the Voice it in Action they want to be the voice in the community and assist in each and every way they possibly can. They will ensure that the community of Tshwane participates while raising funds through monthly hikes. The initiative taken by the organisation is called #Hike4Change which will be done on a monthly basis to raise funds.

There are strategies which the organisation has come up with in terms of giving back to the communities, which are collecting school shoes for the less privileged, creating educational solutions and also help those that are living with disabilities. President of Voice it in Action, Kgothatso Moloto from Eersterust said that a safer, cleaner community was possible through combined efforts.

Hiking will first take place at Moreletakloof nature reserve on Saturday, March 27. The second quarter hiking are still planned as to when they should happen, but it will be sometime between April 30 and the end of June. Both these quarters will have different purposes. The first on will be creating awareness for #NoMboboschoolshoes people will be given opportunities to donate school shoes for the less privileged. The second quarter will be basically helping clean up schools #CleanSASchools for better and clean learning environments.

They also have an objective of helping with the fight against GBV, there are a whole lot of challenges that people go through on their everyday lives and its such an honour to have organisations which aims to help make these challenges better, Voice it in Action simply aims to raise awareness on social issues and also help where they can in the best possible way they can.For more information on how you van be part of the change, visit @VoiceItInAction on all social media platforms or visit hike4change@viia.org.za
