Boitshoko Molephyane (21) from Klipgat based at Sofasonke is a bachelor’s of education student, radio presenter, brand ambassador, and event organizer. She initiated her own Queen Mother Aspiring Projects which is an umbrella for Mr. & Miss Golden Sofasonke beauty pageants, Klipgat Golden Talent Extravaganza, and the Save My Back Campaign.
She aims to develop disadvantaged communities, bringing light and change in people’s lives including young and old. As a queen mother, her role in the community is to nurture talents and grooming women and men. Also giving back to the community by doing outreach programs. “It was driven by the level of having compassion since primary school and always wanted to help people by giving less fortunate people and grasping where they’re lacking,” said Molephyane.
This initiative started in 2018, as Red Berries entertainment then changed to queen mother aspiring projects. In 2019 it was no longer about entertainment but also on other projects including charity and development programs. Since she started she has successfully managed to run 3 beauty pageants and awards initiatives. She has been nominated for influencer of the year @012 awards and got third place.
Molephyane said her school initiative made it to news24 and since then she’s receiving more donations. My models are currently walking in big stages, some have their organizations now. In conclusion, she said, “so far she is facing financial challenges and space to do her project and events and hoping to have her skill center, modeling agency, and orphanages.”
