The railway line from Mabopane to Pretoria is finally operating after being shut down in August 2021. Radio 702 presenter confirmed that minister of transport, Fikile Mbalula, actually took a train from Mabopane to Pretoria Station as part of his inspection. He further said that in 2019 he and the President Cyril Ramaphosa took a train trip from Mabopane to Pretoria and unfortunately got stuck because of cable vandalism. thinking Prasa.
“It was humbling when we took the ride, the commuters some of them were close to tears appreciating us for returning the service, thanking the minister on board and others came and asked that we sustain this,” said Mphelo.
