PHYLLIS LOVE FOR FLOWERS & DECOR.

Phyllis Rambu is the owner of Serenity Flowers and Function Décor based in Mamelodi East Ext 4. She turned her love and passion for colours, flowers and arranging parties into a thriving décor and flower business. It was established five years ago (2015) and has a second branch in Witbank. Their services includes (but not limited to) weddings, baby showers, corporate events, children and adult parties, tombstone unveilings, floral designs and most recently luxury box flowers and gift sets.

Phyllis has a strong support structure which includes her husband as one of the business directors and her mother who is one of the investors in the business. “I owe all this to my friends and family who believed in me and trusted me with the planning and décor of their functions.” She said. Their first events were her sisters 21st birthday party and her son’s birthday celebration. Today it is a fully operational décor and flower company.

She told Tsa Pitori one of the challenges she faces as a business owner of a décor company is not having a steady income. The business is seasonal where it has its seasons to bloom and seasons when it becomes quite. Yet no matter the amount of challenges the business may face, her highlight remains seeing the smile on a clients face after a job well done.
