ONKGOPOTSE GIFTED HANDS.
21-year-old Onkgopotse Letlotlo Nkome from Kalafong Heights in Atteridgeville, Pretoria is a student at FaceToFace makeup and beauty academy. Having started her own beauty salon, she is on a journey to becoming a professional and certified makeup artist

Letlotlo explained to Tsa Pitori that she uses her hands to make her clients happy when looking in the mirror. She enjoys the reaction they give off, putting smiles on their faces is something she is committed to living for. With misconceptions of makeup filtering a person’s image, Letlotlo believes that what she does is not to change one’s image, but rather enhance their beauty.
She has partnered up with Boipelo Maifo. They reached out to each other after realising that they share a passion in both makeup and nail business. For Letlotlo, being a professional makeup artist has always been her passion. “At first I think I was afraid of what people would say, hence it took me time to finally go after what is mine.” She said. She further stated that her motivation into this path derives from her supportive parents and friends, but most important, from her love for what she does.

Dealing with the current pandemic, Letlotlo and herspartner’s back up plan is doing house calls for both makeup and nails. The business is doing well, they have not lost many clients as they have an alternative way of giving off their service during the lockdown. “Either than that, we make sure that our clients get the best of our service even through these hard times, we make sure our work is exceptional.” She said. #ladi_jaja?
