Hard work pays off!

I remember when I met Itesh at MCR radio station in Hamanskraal when I had an interview scheduled there, she was one of the co-presenters on that radio show. We immediately connected not only as colleagues but like siblings. We shared our future plans and also went to the studio where she was busy recording. I also had the opportunity of booking her as a speaker at one of my workshops.

Today I’m proud and honored to be profiling Itesh’s career. She’s been busy working on her debut album, she’s a stylist of note and has worked on many TV shows such as Rhythm City, and overall she’s an entrepreneur. Before I jinx this interview, do check the Fresh Box to find out more about Itesh’s hustle and future plans.

Q: First things first, who is Itesh?
Itesh is a multi-talented, ambitious lady from Makapanstad in Hammanskral, passionate about performance and creative arts, a hustleress at heart. She is loud, fun and fabulous, she loves cooking and is good at it, besides music she is a makeup artist, fashion stylist and radio personality and she owns a beauty spa called Itesh beauty spa and events management.

Q:  Take us through your much anticipated album that’s about to come out.
I hit the studio late last year and recorded my album under a label called K Tripple M entertainment based in Haartebees.

Q: Who did you work with in terms of production on your album?
A: On the album I worked with a remarkable producer by the name of Nelson Moloi(Mr Moore) and the amazing executive producers are Kgomotso Mosehla and Owen Matjila.

Q: What are some of the challenges you faced while recording your album?
A: Honestly I’ve been working on the project before even going to the studio, so I did not encounter any challenges because I was prepared.

Q: You caused a stir when you mentioned to your followers that there’s a single you intend to drop, tell us more about it?
My single track “Follow your heart” has been sent to different radio stations and I’m hoping for airplay soon but it will be available for download as well.

Q: Describe your signature sound?
A: My sound is soulful jazz, laid back music with a bit of a traditional feel, my tracks are packaged in a way that anyone can relate to them, plus they’re educational, real feel good music.

Q: From here, what’s next for you?
A: Expect more from me, I’m a performer at heart though a bit shy, but I believe in what I do and there’s soul into it, so I can’t wait to be on stage.

Q: When will the album be released and when will you grace the stage?
My album is due for release two months from now if everything goes as planned.  Management is still busy finalizing the date of the launch and we are excited about the project.

•••The End•••

The entertainment industry is forever evolving, therefore experience and hard work goes a long way. I hope Itesh’s journey has somehow inspired you, don’t think that your current situation will determine your future. Remember this verse Phillipians 4:13 nothing will stand in your way of achieving your goals. After a few years of hard work and patience, Itesh’s much anticipated album is set for release soon and her call to be on stage has been answered, finally her hard work paid off.
