MULTIPLE VEHICLE CRASH IN PRETORIA.

On Monday morning the 16th of August 2021, the was a multiple vehicle road crash at Eskia Mphahlele drive near PPC Cement causing a traffic delay and several injuries.  According to the Tshwane Emergence Services, about seven people were injured during the accident where two small cars and a minibus taxi got involved in the ghastly crash.

Charles Mabaso, Tshwane Emergency Services spokesperson said three of the seven people injured suffered critical injuries and had to be transported to hospital. “Four other patients suffered minor to moderate injuries,” Mabaso explained. He further explained that their crew handed over the scene to the SAPS and left while the road was still closed.

Tshawne Metro police took it to Social media Twitter tweeting about the accident and advising drivers to use alternative roads as the road was closed. “Road is closed at Eskia Mphahlele drive both directions due to a multiple car crash, traffic is directed to the alternative roads #TMPDsafety.”

Best Care Ambulance spokesperson Xander Loubser told Rekord that the accident took place at around 06H55 AM. “It appears that the taxi came over the middle lane into oncoming traffic,” Loubser explained. The cause of the accident is still being investigated as it has not yet been identified as to what might have cause a crash of more than two cars.
