MAWISA AND FRIENDS SANITARY PADS DRIVE.

Ofentse Mathope known as Mawisa hosted a family day event at Kopa Dilalelo Primary School, Mabopane Block B to handover sanitary pads. The MC’s of the event were Ding Dong and Mawisa and the event was supported by artists like Lerato Lamola, Ms Amza, Tempty T , Rea, 012 Enterntainment, Kamo KM4,Team R5.
The family day event in partnership with Mawisa and friends sanitary pads drive, work with schools around Pretoria which they tour.
“Being on your periods alone is frustrating so imagine not having sanitary pads how it feels like, that alone ends up putting a girl child in position to hustle money more especially those who their parents are not working and being absent from school till they are done.” Mawisa said.
During the event children were motivated by Coach S and Miss Township Semifinalist Ofentse Mohlala. The late Vusi R5 and Pencil were some of the artists that endorsed the campaign. The campaign will continue giving out sanitary towels when schools re opens.
“We hope to get a lot of sponsors and donations so that we can help other school children to avoid school absents and sicknesses that come up with using wrong things.” Mawisa concluded.
