MARC BATCHELOR SHOT DEAD OUTSIDE HIS HOME.
Police are searching for two suspects who shot and killed former footballer Marc Batchelor. According to reports, Batchelor who was travelling with his gardener at the time was shot by two men riding motorbikes as he was driving into his home in Olivedale, Johannesburg on Monday evening.

He was shot through the window of his car several times and died at the scene.The attackers apparently went on the shooting spree while riding on the back of motorbikes. Police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini said “police are investigating a case of murder after Batchelor was shot. He was driving to his house when he was attacked by two men on a motorbike. They shot him several times; he died inside his car. The suspects drove away without taking anything. At this stage, we’re still investigating the motive behind the killing.”

Dlamini said the gardener was not
harmed during the shooting as the assailants were targeting Batchelor.
Batchelor played for several prominent sides, including Kaizer Chiefs, Moroka
Swallows, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
He was also a witness in the high-profile Oscar Pistorius murder trial.
