MAMELODI STOLEN CAR RECOVERED IN MPUMALANGA.
On Monday, April 11th, 2022, at about 15:00, the police allegedly while actively patrolling and making their presence felt on the streets of Mpumalanga noticed a suspicious white BMW vehicle parked in a certain yard. The members allegedly entered the establishment, but the proprietor was not present at the time.
The vehicle was stolen during a robbery in Mamelodi, Gauteng, in August 2021, according to additional information provided by the police. In addition, when searching the yard, the members discovered an engine from a Toyota Corolla, however the serial numbers had been tampered with in some way.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga emphasized that the members’ calibre demonstrates that the community is policing by well-dedicated officers. The vehicle was determined to be equipped with fake registration number plates after a closer check.
