MABOPANE TO THE WORLD.

Thabo Malema is a South African actor who grew up in the dusty streets of Mabopane. He holds an Honours degree in Live Performance from the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (AFDA). His career as an actor commenced in 2006. He does both on screen and theatre productions; nationally and internationally. Locally amongst others he has acted in Kalushi (a historical film, that tells a story about the legendary Solomon Mahlangu) and White Lion (starring Dr John Kan) he has also shot commercials for Ford, Vodacom, Lotto, and Coca Cola amongst others.

Internationally he acted on Primeval Kill (starring Dominic Purcell) and a Netflix production called ‘The Professional’. Malema is all about personal development, when giving a speech at Anglican CTK career day, he encouraged the youth to never stop studying. He said that they should make sure that they always have something that would cushion them should they fall from plan A.

Malema speaks six official South African languages, as well as basic French and minimal Swahili. He recently enrolled with UNISA to further his communication degree in languages and has also recently been certified as a life coach. His work has been recognized by GQ Magazine. His PR Manager said they were more than happy to profile him because of his work ethic, his unique personality, and what he has accomplished in his career.

Malema has been dubbed the kasi nerd because of his cunning personality, he used to carry books with a Tastic rice bag, not because he couldn’t afford a bag but because he is true to who he is, hence the brand name “kasi nerd”. #ladi_jaja?
