Sibusiso Mnisi, also known as De Sbu is a  30-year-old music producer and radio personality,  born and bred in Mabopane. He is a presenter at TUT FM and plays  hip hop, kwaito, and house music on his show. He started working in 2016 as a sports caster at TUT FM, he is responsible for managing all TUT FM social medias, presenting local sports, and presenting relevant news to the community.

He always had a dream of building a strong relationship with listeners through music and expand his talent, and now he has entered YFM and Smirnoff competition that will be taking place on 20th of July 2021. The competition grants campus DJ’s an opportunity to be a YFM DJ.

His current radio job grants him the opportunity to engage with the youth and public around Pretoria. De Sbu is the current host of Power Beats which airs on Saturday from 3-6 pm on TUT FM. The show is all about weekend round up and premiering newly dropped music. He presents various music genres to his listeners. Sibusiso has other responsibilities as creating posters and jingles for special occasions and announcements.

Sibusiso said “I am part of the competition as representative of TUT FM. I am aware of the differences around campus radio and commercial radio, as a result I discovered an opportunity to experience the professional environment. The competition will help me demonstrate my knowledge on how to get and give information to the listeners, interact and present various musical genres to people in love with music. I would really appreciate support from the community and students to help me win this competition.”
