LESIBA ADDS FRESH AIR TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.
As a result of growing up in a musical family, Bradley Lesiba Kekana has always had passion and love for music. Growing up he was a vocalist in his brother’s jazz band and also played some instruments. Lesiba initially started making his own music in 2005, he calls his genre Ndebele Beats. The 30-year-old was born in Mosesetjana Village in Mokopane-Limpopo, not only is he breathing a unique kind of sound into the mainstream music, it is fresh and of new age. The reason for calling his genre Ndebele Beats is because he takes pride in his culture, “my Ndebele people’s history has played a big part in my life, it’s a story that needs to be heard, and I’m doing that through music”, he adds.

Having been in the music industry for a long time, Lesiba has worked with the likes of Ice Tee, CK the DJ of Double Trouble, T Time and many more, these being artists from Limpopo.

“I am hoping and pushing that in 5 years-time, I’ll be a big brand through the Ndebele Beats and I will have partnered up with more Ndebele musicians all over South Africa”, he said. Although Lesiba is currently a resident in Pretoria, he never forgets his roots and where he comes from. “I was raised by my grandparents, and my grandmother gave us that tough love which I believe had a great impact on the person I am today”, he explains. Lesiba gives further gratitude by stating that he appreciates everything he has learnt from them, and the wisdom he grew up with. Lesiba is currently working on his EP, which consists of 8 tracks. He’s also shooting a music video for his upcoming single ‘Vusa Mandebele’. He explains that he wants his music to break boundaries, spread messages of life, love and freedom. In the near future, Lesiba would like to work with artists like Okmalumkoolkat, Wizkid and other musicians making big moves in the industry. He says music is his passion and an escape place where he can speak his mind and tell his story. #ladi_jaja?
