KABZA DE SMALL MAKING INTERNATIONAL WAVES.

Kabza De Small, the king of Amapiano, has once again accomplished a fantastic milestone by having his solo record featured on a billboard in New York’s Times Square. The Asibe Happy hitmaker, real name Kabelo Motha, was honoured with this billboard by music streaming platform, Spotify. The collaboration comes on the heels of the release of the producer’s 18-track album KOA II Part 1, which features DJ Maphorisa, Ami Faku, Lady Du, Yung Stunna, and Nobuhle, among others.

Spotify is promoting the AmaPiano Grooves playlist in conjunction with Kabza De Small’s appearance on the Times Square billboard, in an effort to ensure that foreign listeners are aware of culturally meaningful music.

Known as a key innovator of amapiano, Kabza De Small is also one of the faces of South Africa’s youth culture right now, having contributed bodies of work like his 2020 album I Am the King of Amapiano: Sweet & Dust as well as the definitive Scorpion Kings album with long-time collaborator DJ Maphorisa.
