Seven people have died and eight others injured in a head-on collision in Pretoria. “Upon assessment of the scene and patients, paramedics declared three male patients dead on the scene,” says spokesperson for Tshwane emergency services Charles Mabaso. “These three victims deceased were from the minibus taxi and firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate their bodies from the vehicle.
“A female patient was extricated from the car and was transported to Kalafong Hospital in a critical condition while a male patient from the same vehicle was transported with minor to moderate injuries. “Four of the six patients transported to Kalofong Hospital in a critical condition were later declared dead bringing the total number of the deceased to seven.
”The Tshwane Emergency Services Department said a minibus taxi collided with a light motor vehicle on WF Nkomo street in Saulsville on Saturday.The cause of the crash is under investigation.
