DONDOL STARS PROVE TO BE GIANT SLAYERS.
On Wednesday evening Mamelodi based Dondol Stars won with 5 goals to 4, beating AmaZulu, and advancing to the last 8 of the Nedbank Cup. Amazulu Gabadinho Mhango, missed his penalty for Amazulu who have been eliminated from the Nedbank Cup following a penalty shootout defeat by second tier side, Dondol Stars FC at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. The team play their home games at Muckleneuk Ground in Pretoria, but are based in Mamelodi.
The match went into extra time after a 1-all stalemate in regulation. Dondol Stars, have turned themselves into giant slayers after they also booted out Super Sport United in the Round of 32. Dondolo Stars captain, Tholofelo Monama, was named Man-of-the-Match.
