The number of active cases in the City of Tshwane has recently decreased from 26 796 to 17 338 on the 19 of July 2021, Residents adhering to Covid-19 rules and regulations and receiving vaccines had a positive impact in decreasing the number of active cases in Pretoria.
Mduduzi Mokena a city of Tshwane employee said that “the residents compliance to rules and protocols had a positive impact in decreasing the number of Covid-19 active cases. I highly recommend residents to keep adhering to Covid19 regulations in that way we will survive the third wave. We are aware that the department of health is administrating vaccination programmes across Pretoria, I encourage more residents to register to receive vaccines.”
The City of Tshwane is calling on Tshwane residents aged 35 to 49 years to register for the Covid-19 vaccines. The department of Health continues to activate more vaccines to reduce the effect of the virus. According to News24, Tshwane has recorded a week on week decrease of over 7000 active cases. In the past week Covid-19 active cases were 26 796, this week they decreased to 17 338 today,19 July.
“The Covid-19 recent statistics indicates that the number of active cases has decreased, as residents we must continue adhering to rules and regulations.
