Construction Regiment Hosts Crime Prevention Warden Programme.

1 Construction Regiment under the command of Colonel Keoagile Conny Tlhaole on Sunday, the 04th of February 2024, welcomed 485 Crime Prevention Warden (CPW) Participants from the Department of Community Safety.

The participants were recruited by the Gauteng Department of Safety Community across different regions in the province Northern Corridor (Tshwane), Eastern Corridor (Ekurhuleni), Central Corridor (Johannesburg), Southern Corridor (Vaal) and Western Corridor (Randfontein).

The purpose of the Crime Prevention Warden Training Programme is to provide training that will enhance the social development, discipline, and knowledge in support of critical skills and development of individuals. Also to bolster the existing law enforcement officials in the fight against crime in communities.

The participants were militarily welcomed by instructors waiting eagerly for the programme. They will undergo intense training over the period of 05 February 2024 until 28 March 2024.

Department of Community Crime Prevention Warden Training Programme 01/2024 is immensely supported by the SA Army. The SA Army Engineer Formation as a tasked Formation, identified 1 Construction Regiment as the host unit for this programme.
