No soul is a loner for every person there is a partner to share laughter, tears and tough times but in this day and age love is never about true affection it’s a matter of what one stands to benefit. Being in a relationship has become a thing for money, clothes, keeping appearances and sex.
People no longer get into relationships for love but it is not all dead and forgotten, there are still people who engage in relationships for the sake of love. There are people who still manage to be together for more than two years or more but for most people commitment is not an option, the life we live these days it’s every man/woman for themselves . Trust is the one element that is hard to find and that affects most relationships badly.
When I am talking about relationships I do not only mean relation between lovers but families as well, siblings have become enemies and here we thought blood is thicker than water. Tell me which direction are we to take, will it ever be solved can people ever be truthful to each other and honest that is yet to be known.
Most relationships are challenged by: LACK OF TRUST, RELIGION, DEMANDS AND EXPECTATIONS, PARENTS INTERVENTION, COMMUNICATION, CHEATING AND TIME
LACK OF COMMUNICATION
We all know how important it is to maintain communication when it comes to anything and everything most importantly to keep a relationship going and strong. The most challenging thing for people tends to be loyalty which is always an issue in most relationships whilst communication plays a vital role in relationships.
If people do not communicate how will they be able to get to know each other, because of the never ending growth in technology communication has become easy, and it has become a lot better to maintain communication even long distance relations stand a way better chance of survival.
People this days can’t spend at least five minutes talking in person but can spend hours on social networks. It is well known that social media has led to a lot of break ups because it has become a place for posting problems and letting people outside our inner circle know and comment on our problems and at the end of the day communication is the most important thing to maintain.
Each and every relationships gets challenged in different ways some suffer at the hands of religion, there are some religions that only allow people to date within their own religion not outside their religion and beliefs. Even when dating within their own religion there are still strict rules that have to be followed and not to be broken. The most important question would be is it right to put rules and regulations to other peoples relationships, why are people told who they can and cannot date?
LACK OF TRUST, DEMANDS AND EXPECTATIONS
Almost all relationships suffer at the hands of lack of trust, once trust is broken it is very hard to rebuild it again and with no trust there is no reason to hold on and hope that one day things will be OK again, because there will always be a bad cloud hanging. We usually put heavy weight on our relationships with our never ending demands and expectations this is never a good thing because expectations are not always met and what happens then should one discontinue with the relationship? (E.G if he cannot buy clothes for me why should I continue to be in the relationship?)
Relationships should not suffer in the hands of such things it should be filled with love and acceptance of people’s imperfections and not except anything more than what one can offer. Not everyone can afford to buy expensive things but that does not mean they are not allowed to love and be in loved. Challenges will always be there not only to bring us to our knees but to grow us into strong and more efficient people.
