BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE.
Millicent Realeboga Ngwepe (18) based in Mabopane (Bheki) is currently studying Diploma in Accounting at Tshwane University of Technology. She’s into modeling & mental issues faced by the community especially youth and donating sanitary pads to young girls. Recently she went to her previous school “Fumane Secondary School” to donate sanitary pads because it is an essential need for young girls. The main aim was to help needy girls and to make sure that they don’t skip school due to lacking this basic need.
Ngwepe started early this year helping disadvantaged girls and she wants to open an organization whereby she will tackle mental health issues as many people are fighting internal battles that no one knows about. In addition, she has already started distributing pads and her vision is to open her own pads drive organization.
“l struggled a lot before joining modeling because I was insecure about my body, I did not get any support from my family in the beginning, I was laughed at by my peers for joining modeling,” she said. As her passion grew she joined pageants and was able to overcome her low self-esteem and in 2021 she became a Mr & Miss Golden Sofasonke Finalist, Mr & Miss TFOVC Ambassador, Mr and Miss Garankuwa TUT Finalist, Face of Models SA Finalist, Miss Teenager South Africa semi Finalist.
In conclusion, she said, “I believe I can be the change that I want to see, if you empower a woman you empower the whole nation and begin with the end in mind in that way you are already a winner in every situation.”
