ASPIRING ARTIST WITH BIG DREAMS.
19 year old second year student in Accounting , Minenhle Kwanele Sibiya from, is also known by her stage name Minniekay. She is known for her singing and fashion designing skills. The future star has revealed that she started singing at an early age and she didn’t take music seriously. “I started believing that I am real singer in Grade 7 when people were always complimenting my voice.” She said.
Sibiya told Tsa Pitori that she wants her character as Minniekay to impact in other people’s lives, she wants to be a singer that heals people and make people understand and relate to her music “ I want to move souls when I am performing, I want people to understand music. I am that singer that always aims to make people comfortable and welcomed when I am on stage,” She shared that she recently released two songs, A amapiano song titled Indlela featuring DJ Komfort Muziq and in September she released a Afro pop song titled Egoli featuring Thwasa and Khulkid. The star has also revealed that she is working on a new EP.
Sibiya is an Afro pop singer, however she also sings the Amapiano genre to accommodate her fans as Amapiano is cuurently the dominating genre Minenhle said that music is her power, it makes her feel at home. Apart from being a singer, she added that she is also passionate about fashion “ it all started when I was 10, I used to always sew clothes for my friends using old clothes.” She said.
