ACTING THE PART AND LIVING MY DREAM.

The passion of becoming an actor comes with jaws of challenges and perseverance. The art of telling a story should be different and unique. Theatre actor Tumisang Bosoga (23) born in Johannesburg is living proof that acting is a passion and talent. In 2009 the actors family moved to Pretoria Soshanguve (Extension 3). The young actor used to participate in school drama.

The talent he has grew from a tender age. “From a young age I have framed this image in my mind of being an actor”- Tumisang. The love he has in portraying art through acting is priceless and meaningful. The dreamer’s love of pursuing art as a career is broadened even more through the support of family. “Through the support from my family and most importantly the love and passion I have for acting keeps me going and pursuing this dream I have”- Tumisang.

The star believes that acting is an expressed message and conveys meaning. The talented actor’s journey in the industry began in 2014. Upon his journey the actor worked with Thandolunye Productions. He did his first screen play/short comedy Misunderstanding written by Simon Maluleke and R1000 Stena by Tumisang Bosoga (himself).

Despite the challenges artists face to pull through in this industry, giving up is not an option. “Finding means of resources, facilities, support and opportunities continues to be an everyday struggle”-Tumisang. He also stated that it is only through the burning thirst and hunger for acting within that keeps artists going. In 2016, he had the opportunity to work with award winning Hip Hop artist Stan B from Soshanguve, Pretoria. He played leading character (Copper) in the music video of the artist.

As years went by the Joburg born artists managed to scoop other leading characters in theatre. He featured in Deeper Than The Pain(Orlando Ekhaya), directed by Yongama Phikwa (as a lead character Samuel), Arrived(New Doornfontein, Joshco Head office) directed by Moses (as lead character Sipho) and Turffontein (Rotanda Park) directed by Yongama Phikiwa (as a supporting character David).

The artist aims to inspire the youth to push hard to reach for their passion. Let your passion lead you to your greatest fear. “The cave you fear is the cave that holds your treasure”-Tumisang. He further went on to say that “try and fail but never fail to try, ever give up”-Tumisang. The multi-talented actor hopes and wishes to work with the likes of Dr John Kani and casting in international Scenes.
