16 YEAR OLD MAKES HIS DEBUT FOR MAMELODI SUNDOWNS FIRST TEAM.

On Tuesday evening Mamelodi Sundowns scored five goals for the second straight game after thrashing Royal AM 5-1 to edge closer to the DStv Premiership title. They opened the gap on top to 20 points as they handed John Maduka his first loss since returning to Royal AM. After last night’s win, neither Orlando Pirates nor Kaizer Chiefs can mathematically catch Sundowns in the DSTV premiership this season. Only second placed Supersport United can mathematically catch Downs.

Masandawana striker Peter Shalulile has scored 13 goals in 12 games in all competitions since his return from injury.. He scored a brace to increase his tally to 11 goals in the league two goals ahead of Cassius Mailula and Bradley Grobler. Goal scorers on the night for Masandawana included️ Mailula 21, Nascimento (OG) 27, ️ Shalulile 42’ | 51’, Mvala 74’ and ️ Phalane pulled one back for Royal AM on the 68 min.

Siyabonga Mabena (16) started on the bench for Mamelodi Sundowns for the first time. The former School of Excellence talent netted nine goals at the U17 COSAFA Cup last year. During the 76 min he replaced Captain maestro ThembaZwane as he made his debut for the first team. The16 year old and 24 days , is currently in Grade 10

Royal AM head coach John Maduka said his side struggled to deal with Mamelodi Sundowns in the midfield battle.
