Divided we are destined for failure but united there’s no odds we cant ‘beat’. I have met countless young people in my life who had passion for entertaining whether it be through modelling, music or even dance and in most cases that passion ends up being nothing than just a depreciating hobby. You can have all the talent and skills in the world but without the proper platform to showcase those skills they end up counting for nothing. But no more.
It all began as a common idea shared by mutual friends and influenced by their love for music. They say music is a universal language then I’m thinking performing arts must be a universal movement cause you can’t separate one from the other. Thus this was the reason that motivated the three friends fromlooking beyong creating a platform only for musicians but looking into other forms of recreations.
After conducting their informal hypothesis the three peers came to the conclusion that the was a demand for a platform that will look beyond just music in the so called formerly disavantaged areas. Loads of ungroomed and potential talent were fustrated due to lack of a platform that will allow them to showcase their talents and even be better performers. Something had to be done and this sanctioned the birth of Beats and Rhythms Entertainment.
Although the founding partners have’nt given up on their ultimate goal and passion to create a platform which will uplift local musicians, they have just spread their wings a little further reaching for greater heights. They are currently in process of building a recording studio which will uplift the youth of Pretoria. However they have also recruited two new members into their management whom are entrusted with the responsibility to run their modelling side of the company.
Beats and Rhythms have a multiple models contracted to the organisations and they have a relationship with numerous artists whomthey share a mutual partnership with. They are currently looking into recruiting new students and professional performers whom will join them in their endeavour to empower the youth coming from impoverished backgrounds.
For a young and developing organisation like this it’s inevitable that they will encounter multiple setbacks on their way to realising their goals. One of the problems they have encountered in the past is beig stood up. You come across people who make certain promises they can’t keep and in the end this affects the image of the organisation. However this hasn’t discouraged Beats and Rhythms, in contrast it has encouraged them to work harder in everything they pursue.
Beats and Rhythms Entertaiment was founded on the 18th January 2013 by three friends namely kenneth Chauke (Director), German Malatji (M.Director) and Noah Tsokela (CFO). It wasn’t long before they recruited two ladies to their endeavour Sheryl Modisane (Modelling Agency Manager) and Kgomotso Sekgalakane (Events Manager). The organisation is based around soshanguve and although they don’t yet have formal offices you can find them at 742 Block TT Soshanguve South 0152.
Their most memorable moment is a fashion show they held in 2013 at K.T Motubatse community hall next to Kopanong train station. The event was a success and it taught them that they can achieve everything they set their minds on aslong as they are willing to put in the hard work required. They plan to host more shows in the near future continuing to uplift young talent in desperate need of exposure.
If you are from around Capcity and you would like to acquire the services of Beats and Rhythms Entertainment or simply keep track of their moves you can catch them on the following channels of communication. It’s always encouraging to see young people who take their future into their own hands instead of blaming the government for everything. We are living in the era of globalisation where access to information is only a button away and possibilities are endless. Like I said in the beginning united possibilities are endless, so instead of trying to compete and be better than each other lets rather be a united front. In the famous words of Samora Machel “Aluta Continua”( The struggle continues).
