THE FUTURE OF AMAPIANO IN GOOD HANDS.

Motlatsi Phoshoko (22) aka SjavaDaDeejay is a blossoming talent in the music industry. Born and bred in Atteridgeville, Pretoria. He is well known for music production in the Amapiano scene. Representing the new school of house, he is a co-founder of Radio Active. His music career started in 2015, when Amapiano was relatively still new. “My passion came from listening to this newly developed genre called ‘Amapiano’.” He said.

He also explains that his biggest motivator is TumzaDKota, who is also a well-known producer in Pretoria. When Phoshoko started music production, a lot of people did not understand the kind of music he was into. He then made samples of the best instrumental songs that were famous, added a touch of soul and piano with the aim of new creation. He has worked with some of the greatest musicians out there, the likes of Eminent Boyz, TumzaDKota, Abidoza and Major League DJ’s.

The young talent sees himself rising to be the most respected Amapiano and Latin dance producer of all time. He is keeping his hopes high and pursuing his dreams. Based on the rapid growth of Amapiano fans, the future looks promising. Registered with SAMRO & RISA for royalty pusposes, his music is mostly produced through the sounds of Pretoria Funk/township street music, taking the world by storm. “I started off with a friend of mine called Tumelo (KillerT), he is the first person to make a beat with me.” He added. The two made a hot trending tune called (Shumayela) ft Decency (vocalist), this song is currently number one on the Metro FM Charts.

“What I enjoy most about being an upcoming producer is the love and support I get from my fans.” He said. Motlatsi enjoys making music, and now that people have gotten the gist of the Amapiano genre, seeing the fans happy makes his heart warm. This is one of the things that make him work hard every day, aiming for the stars.
