Spring is upon us, this means one thing for me and everyone else in the entertainment business industry, spring breaks, big festivals and weddings just to mention a few. This season is a perfect opportunity for artists to showcase their abilities. It is also a time for everyone else to go out and have a good time.
A week ago I was booked by Sweet Dreams Entertainment to emcee the #springexlposionpreparty with the likes of Vetkuk vs Mahoota, Deejay Mpho, Silly Bean, Jaguar Paw and Sir Javas among others on the line up, it sure was a night to remember, ele gore the main event was scheduled to take place in Bundu Inn Garankuwa the next day. Due to other commitments I missed it. The pre-party was a success with a few hiccups here and there but as a host I pulled it off nicely.
So if you’re a party patron within or outside Pitori, allow me to highlight the biggest events to hit our town this spring. For a change we don’t have to drive outside Pitori to enjoy ourselves, a good time is just under our noses, so no excuse for not turning up!
Here is what to look forward to this spring
Make your way to spring break hosted by Leciatainment. The spring break is headlined by Donald and many local artists are scheduled to rock the stage. Honestly speaking I’m impressed that female entertainers are also getting a share of the spotlight, the likes of Dj Divalash, Tina & Kelly Khumalo form part of the line-up. They raised the bar high for emerging female entertainers. The event also caters for kids as they’ll be water slides and jumping castle’s available. The event might be hosted in Madibeng but artists & patrons are from surrounding areas (Mabopane, Soshanguve, Garankuwa, Akasia ) Kasi tsa Pitori under one event respect.
The Tshwane Hall of Fame Awards this and that
Also make your way to the #thofa14.
The Tshwane hall of fame awards are to take place in October aimed at celebrating Pitori’s finest talents. As we await the release of the nominees, be on the lookout for your best brands and favourite entertainers. For more info check out “4th annual hall of fame awards” on Facebook to get full details or alternatively follow them at @012movement on Twitter.
As much as spring is guaranteed to be the busiest season of all, let’s try to be on the safer side of the law. Don’t be stupid be safe, if not for yourself then do it for others.
Here’s a few tips to party safe:
- Don’t drink and drive.
- Put on your safety belt once you get behind the wheel.
- Have condoms with you at all times, you never know when you can get lucky.
- Move around in groups while in crowded events.
- If you are a pedestrian then be visible, so that you can be recognised and not be hit by a car.
However if anything happens to you, try to make your way to the local police station or clinic to seek help as soon as possible.
Tsaka di fella moo dikgang.
See you soon!
