Banyana Banyana closed women’s month in style when they beat other ladies (Tanzania) 6-1 eish! well someone’s got to lose. Well done ladies remember they’ve already qualified for the African Women’s Championship. Bra Shake’s Amajita made history when they qualified for the CAF Youth Championship, after drawing 1-1 in the first leg against Cameroon, courageous Amajita used home ground to its advantage when they came from behind to beat Cameroon 2-1(3-2 aggregate) and set the standard for Bafana. Bafana you can’t be outdone by the under 20s and Bra Shakes has promised to help shake off the “Bunch of Loosers” tag. Talk about Bra Shakes, he told his critics to keep dishing he enjoys it, it keeps him strong *he he*. Replying to the so called “cheap coach” tag he said “all the expensive coaches give me their records, our football is down because of those expensive coaches” talk about honesty, remember Parreira and Santana? In Bra Shakes we trust.
On PSL Fire/Hire news Kosta Papic has resigned from Chippa United due to club politics, PSL(Political Soccer League) neh. Polokwane City and Supersport United fired coaches Boebie Solomons and Clinton Larsen respectively both for reckless loosing. Guess who replaced Larsen, I swear this was an easy guess you just needed to check who’s unemployed. Ok fine enough guessing GI(Gordon Igesund) has got his PSL groove back and Matsantsantsa helped him get it but for this season only then Ruud Krol might/will take over next season *talk about confusion*. I can already hear SSU supporters saying “in GI we trust”, hope he leads them to the promise land. Amazulu coach Craig Rosslee got “assurance” from Usuthu management that his job is safe despite the team singing “re tla le jarela yona PSL e ka magetla….”(we’ll carry the psl table/load with our shoulders) all the way down in position 16, all the best Craig remember Boebie Solomons and Clinton Larsen are now unemployed.
In a shocking turn of events Aussies lost to Zim, no let me rephrase this Zim BEAT Aussies by 3 wickets on Sunday for the first time in 31 years. The Number 1 ranked ODI team then went on to console themselves by beating our Proteas I don’t blame them they just had to after such embarrassment, I guess we’re even now. High from the Aussie triumph Zim thought they’d beat the Proteas and book themselves a place in the final as if Christmas comes every day, the Proteas brought them to earth with a 63 run win to book a date in the final of the Triangular Series against the Aussies on Saturday, we hope Faf’s blistering form as well as Duminy’s all-round excellence will carry us to a series win.
The Blue Bulls are blowing hot and cold reminds me of the Med Lemon ad “sometimes I feel hot sometimes I feel cold it’s like flu but worse” just after winning their last match against Eastern Province they went on to lose against Western Province, a win in the east and a loss in the west this sounds like a geographical issue. Anyway Bulls are up against Golden Lions on Saturday no geography involved this time around they better win, position 6 on the log is not where Cap City wants to sit. The time for the Heyneke Meyer’s Boks to show us what they’re made of when they come against the Wallabies this Saturday, all the best Bokkies.
With the PSL still on break, this weekend sees Bra Shakes face-off against Sudan in his first Bafana assignment this Friday(05-09-2014) in the AFCON qualifiers, let’s all rally against Bafana. The next match will be against our voodoo team Nigeria next Wednesday(10-09-2014). The Boks and the Proteas will also be in action on Saturday(06-09-2014).
