The Clever Boys and the Sea Robbers are in the final after their semi final wins against Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United. Pirates will play in their fourth final of the season. The final will be played in Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on May the 17th.
Mamelodi Sundowns are one win away from clinching the 2013/2014 Absa Premiership title. Bafana ba style can win the league with a victory against their Neighbours SuperSport United Tonight when the rivals go to battle. The two teams face off in a much anticipated Tshwane derby. Calvin Johnson the SuperSport coach has come out to say they won’t make things easy for Sundowns.
Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping and praying for a favour from Matsatsantsa. The unbelievable fact will be that if Sundowns wins it their coach Pitso Mosimane will become the first black African coach to win the league title.
The national football team Bafana Bafana will start their quest to qualify for the 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), in September. South Africa was drawn in Group A of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. They are drawn in the same group with the defending champions Nigeria. The other teams are Sudan and the winner between Namibia/Libya/Congo and Rwanda.
The 1996 winners haven’t qualified for the tournament since 2008. Seven group winners, runner ups and the third best nation will qualify for the tournament that will be hosted in Morocco. The national team might have a new coach by the time the qualifiers start.
