Tshwane never disappoints when it comes to total entertainment and chilling. It manages to draw people from as far as Johannesburg and other provinces of South Africa.
Rethabile sports ground in Mamelodi will be graced by a giant Hip Hop festival on the 1st of December. The Hip hop festival will be paving a way for all other upcoming events this summer. Rethabile Sports Ground Hip Hop festival is one event that you don’t want to miss. It is one of the biggest, open air music concert in South Africa.
On the 8th of December, the City of Tshwane, in partnership with Lamathonsi Entertainment will be bringing yet another big Mams arts festival. Mams Arts Festival happens annually and it will be turning 11 this year. The event will be held at Moretele Park, Mamelodi. Mams arts festival aims at giving the people of Mamelodi and around Tshwane an exclusive, jam packed experience of entertainment, first hand. The event also helps to uplift the community of Mamelodi. Young and upcoming artists get to share the stage, alongside South African hits song makers.
Mamelodi also have Motsepe Foundation music concert. This event happens annually, this year’s theme for Motsepe Foundation music concert is ‘Christmas with our people’ and ‘sharing the christmas spirit’. The event will also be held at Moretele Park-Mamelodi on the 16th of December. The aim of this event is to say ‘thank you’ to the people of Tshwane for the Support they give Sundowns. It also provides a platform for young and upcoming artists from disadvantaged communities to share their limelight with national performers. During this event toys are being distributed as well as food parcels for the less advantaged people of Mamelodi. The event caters for young and old. Motsepe Foundation Music Concert attracts an average of 200 000 people each year, featuring the country’s top musicians.
A decade ago, Dinho Café social music concert was born. It started as a street chilling session to a big annual music concert. Dinho Café was founded by Dinho Tiego Mutau. This year’s 10th annual Dinho Café, will be held at Moretele Park on the 26th of December. According to the residents of Mamelodi and the ones that have been attending Dinho Café, say the event is one of the biggest amongst other music concerts and one of the best social music festival that brings young, vibrant and finest ladies and gentlemen in one space. Now this is an event that you don’t want to miss if you don’t want to suffer from the fear of missing out(FOMO). It will be packed with young and fresh talented DJs from in and outside Mamelodi.
