DEFYING THE ODDS BY TAKING FATE INTO YOUR OWN HANDS.

What came to my mind as I was getting ready to type this article is one of my favourite international songs at the moment titled ‘STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM’ by Drake. At that moment I realised the potential engraved in Pretoria in need of exposure and more platforms to tell this stories. But I was grateful to find myself in a position to narrate these stories. From rocking cyphers and local events to grazing hundreds of fans this is the story of our very own Stan B.

With 3 of his videos already featured in Channel O and one of those videos titled ‘Abuti nice’ standing at number 3 on the chart edition  its inevitable  that the sky is the limit for this great talent. Radio stations are banging his jam’s non-stop and whenever he goes to perform he leaves the crowds stunned and asking for more.

Experience has taught me that non takes their work serious like artists and the only way to grow as an artist is to look at your-self as a brand. Stan B appears to have it all figured out seemingly having created a market for the brand Stan B beyond the music. He has invested his time and funds into this brand by creating a clothing line by the same name which produces T-shirts, Caps and Sunglasses or shades if you like.

If you thought music and fashion where the fields Stan B excels in then don’t hold your breath cause this exceptional talent also has an events management company. During our interview I could tell that in the not so distant future this extra-ordinary talent would be a house hold name in the entertainment industry. I have met many good artists in my life and most of them were engulfed by the industry due to lack of knowledge of how to discern the craft from the business but Stan B is an exception.

Stan B also has videos on YouTube and Social Medias so it’s easy to get hold of his music. The rapper from ‘Cap City’ ventured into the music industry in 2005 and it took him close to six years before he could drop his first offering in 2011 when he released his first mix-tape. Most artists drop their projects within a year or two after entering the industry but for this talent he had to fight and hustle for his opportunity and in 2012 he released his second mix-tape.

This 23 years old rapper from Soshanguve is always on his grind and looking for ways to expand his efforts. He invests much of his time on his craft and has deals with multiple stores where fans can buy his music, he also pushes his music on the streets .he is fast becoming an epidemic and for music fanatics a future favourite.

Stan B is the founder of Stan Producshizzle the company producing both Stan B and Dumza. He works with different producers on his projects thus keeping his music fresh and diversified. His fans can get hold of him on Facebook and Twitter and for booking you can email him at stan.beatz@gmail.com

He’s currently working on the finer points of his debut album which is due to drop in 2014 March, he promises the album will be epic and a must have for all music lovers. Stan B continues to push and will continue to shine so long he works hard on his craft, this is a name you will be hearing a lot of and when he rises to the throne we will be right there to tell those who ignored our warning that we told you so.

Just as I finished typing this article I gained my conscious back and realised that I had pressed repeat on the Drake track and like it says “he started from the bottom now is here”, I’m referring to Stan B right now but am sure you already knew that….
