CHOKERS? WHO’S CHOKING?

After winning twice at the death one now wonders who are the chokers, the Proteas or India? Proteas death bowling seems to be improving with every match, for once the boys seem to be rising to the occasion when it matters and not succumbing to pressure.  After Sunday’s(18-10-2015) win orchestrated by Morkel and de Kock although not single handedly, with a 2-1 lead the Proteas are on the verge of making history by being the first country to win a series in India. If the Proteas are chasing history then we as the nation should be behind them all the way, who knows we might just sing “I was here” soon.

Hier kom die Bokke! Hier kom die Bokke! From losing the first match in the hands of Japan to going all the way to the semis, that sums up Boks’ performance in Rugby World Cup. After a palpitation filled 23-19 win against Wales on Saturday(17-10-2015) Bok Friday will be in full swing. Our Boks are two matches away from winning the World Cup but have a huge mountain to climb when they face The All Blacks on Saturday(24-10-2015). If we all rally behind our boys be spiritually part of the scrum, and if they can survive the intimidation of the Haka I don’t see why they can’t win *lol*.

Banyana Banyana booked their spot in the Rio 2016 Olympics on Sunday(18-10-2015) after beating Equatorial Guinea 1-0. Can they just replace Bafana since Bafana are acting like “Abusisi bendawo”(ladies)? Bafana lost 2-0 against Angola in their first CHAN match, this comes after they played well in their two away international friendlies. They drew 1-1 against Hungary and won 1-0 against Costa Rica, which they got a whole lot of praise from the Costa Rican coach, but I guess Bra Shakes forgot to lie to them that it’s a friendly.
