CHAMPIONSHIP AND SURVIVAL IN THE PSL JUNGLE.

As the curtain is about to close for 2014/2015 PSL season the cream of the crop has risen to the top while others are hanging by the thread. With only two matches remaining for all teams and the championship already heading to Naturena(Chiefs) after their brilliant display of leading from start to end, the second spot is still open for Downs to console themselves only if they don’t hand it to Pirates. It’s also getting hot at the bottom.  Amazulu, Swallows and Chippa look set to make way for the newly promoted Arrows. We shall wait as everything will unfold on Wednesday and Saturday.

The Bulls nearly gave people heart attacks after surrendering their 25-13 lead they had at half time and bringing the Lions back to the match. 55min into the game after Van Rooyen’s try and Jantjies’ conversion it seems like the Lions were running away with the points as they led by 26-25, the home side weren’t about to be beaten at home as they went on to clinch a hard fought 35-33 win. They’re back on the top spot of the South African log and second on the combined log, and also looking good for their outgoing international matches.

In the midst of relegation Chippa United decided to fire their caretaker coach Mich D’Avray, if I didn’t know better I’d say they want out of the PSL. Rumour has it Mashaimaite might join Matsatsantsa or Wits if Chiefs don’t hand him a better offer. Khama Billiat seems overseas bound. The fifth edition of Mbhambha Cup(Carling Black Label Cup) date has been set for the 25th of July 2015 at the same venue and same teams *yawn*.  After the CAF specialists Pirates thumped Mounana 3-0(5-2 on aggregate) they look set to land big fish, will it be Al Ahly, Raja Casablanca or CS Sfaxien? Either way they claim that they’re ready habashwe!
