BUSY WEEKEND AND ASTOUNDING REVELATIONS WITH A CHRISTMAS SPIRIT.

When Danny Jordan was elected SAFA president in September this year, he said he wants Bafana Bafana to play against quality opposition. At the moment he has lived up to his promise with Bafana recently having played against Spain the world champions. Now Bafana is set to go head to head with Brazil in an international friendly next year on March.

Brazil will be hosting the 2014 world cup whilst on the other hand Bafana Bafana will host the Chan tournament starting on January right here in SA. Only local based players for domestic leagues in their respective countries are eligible to play in the tournament. Gordon Igesund is expected to name his squad for the tournament on Monday.

Locally this weekend teams will engage in the last games for the first half of the Absa premiership before the Christmas break. Some of the games to look forward to this weekend include the joined log leaders away to Amazulu on Sunday. On the same day Orlando Pirates welcome Golden Arrows to Orlando Stadium. Pirates will be looking to continue up the table, they have played less games compared to other teams because of their engagements in the CAF Champions league.

At the Wanderers stadium Johannesburg the cricket match between SA and India continues to be intriguing as India has a slight advantage having made more than 300 runs for the loss of 2 wickets as the day was concluded with them still batting their second innings and SA still to bat. Johannesburg has overcast weather conditions for next few days hopefully rain will stay away and the match will go the full Five days.

To all Christians and all those who will be celebrating Christmas next week allow me to take this moment and wish you the merriest of Christmas and until we meet again take care.
