How many young people do you know who are still studying, working part jobs and still planning for the future through their everyday hustle? We always hear of how young people do not act responsible and all they care for is partying and getting wasted. It’s either the media and government doesn’t have faith in the future leaders of the nation or they are simply playing dumb, because tonight we tell a completely different story from what we’ve been told.
They say “behind every successful man you find a beautiful woman” then I guess’ behind every beautiful woman you find an intelligent brain’. Kim “kinky” Keitumetse Ngobeni is a student at the University of Pretoria and she is also part of the SRC. As you can imagine tertiary life is time consuming at its own, as for being part of the SRC in must be twice as much intense.
But that is just a tip of the iceberg when it comes to this beautiful soul *no pun intended. Kim is an extraordinary 20 year old, and she spends most of her time if not all of it trying to make herself a house hold name in the entertainment industry. Well her passion for entertaining began at an early age, whilst in primary she was crowned 1st princess for Miss Primary schools (Akasia Region) and from then she has never looked back.
Over the years she has been involved in multiple projects in pursuit of her childhood dream. She’s always looking forward to new gigs; she has done video shoots, photo shoots, TV extra and promotions at SAB (Hennessey). When she is not in studio or at school she is likely to be working on her shift at News Cafe where she is occupied as a bartender.
Kim is currently signed under Devine models a company dealing in TV extras and mobile promotions. Well her best quality definitely has to be her zealous confidence, she is content in her own skin and rightfully so. To add to her already packed list of activities she is also a brand manager for a company called SMMA promotions and events.
Kim Keitumetse Ngobeni was born on the 10th of September 1993. She attended her Primary at Laerskool Theresa Park until the age of 13. She then moved to Hoerskool Akasia until she was 18 years old, in 2011. “Kinky” as she is known to her friends is currently a full-time student at the University of Pretoria.
The thing with trying to juggle your studies and extra activities is that your likely to come across a cross road whereby your times clash and your left with a dilemma. However for Kim her studies have always come first and if she finds her self in the mentioned dilemma she has always put her priorities first.
It’s quite clear that although “Kinky” has always been fond of modelling this is just one of her many hobbies as she explains “I love experimenting and doing new things. In short, I love attention”. It always helps to have family that supports you in your endeavours and for Kim her mother who is also her role model is that pillar of strength. “She completes me, and I look up to her, she is my pillar of strength and has always been there”, says Kim.
In the future God willingly Kim would love to invest in the entertainment industry and be remembered for revolutionising the industry. She would also like to start her own modelling agency which would cater for all body shapes and sizes. If you would like to keep in touch with the beautiful Kim simply add her on Facebook under: Kimoen Fabu Lash anc or follow her on twitter under the handle @Kiminaj1.
Tonight we have learned that hard work and dedication always pays off. But most importantly we have learned that the future of our country is looking bright as long as we keep producing dedicated young people like Kim. It’s about time we change the image the media and government has given us off our young people and tell our own stories, from Tsa_Pitori we salute you and are proud to tell the story behind the story.
