So the AFCON Qualifiers kicked off this past weekend and Bafana players left their scoring boots at home awarding Gambia a much needed draw.  Bra Shakes claims Gambia parked a train and that Bafana just need one player who can score, this coming from a coach who omitted all the top goal scorers in the  PSL as well as the second division. On better news the U-23’s won 2-1 against Egypt in the Olympic preparation match.

Things are looking good for SA athletics and swimming team ahead of RIO 2016. Golden Boy Chad le Clos and new kid on the block Myles Brown both bagged two medals gold and silver each at the Mare Nostrum Series in Monaco. Our Pretorian boy Cameron van der Burgh also won two medals also gold and silver in Rome. 22 year old sprinter Wayde van Niekerk smashed the South African 400m record a week after he smashed the 300m record, records are tumbling and I must say #justintime.

The Bulls came to the end of the road in the Super Cup as the lost 42-29 to the Cheetahs at home(Loftus Versfeld) and the coach Frans Ludeke later sang the same song as he called it quits as coach. Ludeke has played his part in the Bulls team and we thank him, it’s now time for Nollis Marais to pick up where he left off. The Baby Boks crashed out of the U-20 Championships losing 28-20 against defending champs England, better luck next time boys.

Steve “Mr English” Khompela has dumped Maritzburg and rumour has it for a richer guy/option(Chiefs) *lol* let’s hope all will work out for uncle Steve, you know what they say about the devil you don’t know.  Golden Arrows have appointed Serame Letsoaka as the head coach, I wonder where that leaves Shaun Bartlett the guy who carried them from Mvela jungle to the promised land(PSL). Eish sehlogo sa papadi ya ball(the unfairness that’s in soccer).

What to look forward to…

Bafana will play Angola in a friendly match on Tuesday(16-06-2015) at 15:00 at Cape Town Stadium. The only South African team left in the Super Rugby the Stormers will face the Brumbies in Cape Town at 17:05 on Saturday(20-06-2015).
