Just after the city of Durban won the rights to host the 2022 Commonwealth Games, team South Africa has been out to reaffirm the Commonwealth Games committee’s decision. With Rio 2016 around the corner if you’re still not sure of the readiness of Team South Africa then the AAG(All Africa Games) performance will keep you up to date. Team South Africa have so far amassed a total of 100(38 gold, 34 silver and 28 bronze) medals with 56 medals coming from the pool(swimming), they are currently ranked 2nd in the medals table and with 3 days left we hope for more.

Its 3 days before Crouch! Touch! Pause! Engage! World Cup and the Boks got a heroes send-off on Friday(18-09-2015). Mr Razzmatazz(Mbalula) has given clear instructions that they must “go to England, moer hulle dood, bliksem hulle” *too much violence* he also warned them “If you don’t come back with the trophy you won’t see me at OR Tambo, if you do come back with the trophy we will come out in our thousands” and I must say I share almost the same sentiments well except the ”dood” part.

As the saying says “se se sa feleng sa tlhola(everything comes to end eventually)” the Bulls Currie Cup winning streak came to an end in the hands of the log leaders the Lions on Saturday(12-09-2015) after losing 36-28. Whoever‘s facing the Bulls next should expect to be bullied.

TUT football team for both men and women have raised the Pitori(Pretoria) flag high as they made their way in the Varsity Football final. The men’s team had to dispatch their fellow Pretorian counterparts TUKS by 4-1 to reach the final. Both the TUT men and women’s team will face the University of Western Cape’s men’s and women’s team in the final which will be held on Heritage Day(24-09-2015), all the best to the teams, then men’s team now deserve to compete with the best in the PSL.

The PSL games were back this past weekend after a weeklong international break where Bafana lost to Mauritania and then won by a goal to nil against Senegal to claim the Mandela Cup. All the Pretorian teams had it bad with TUKS losing 1-0 to Wits, Sundowns lost 2-1 to PSL returnees Arrows while Matsatsantsa lost 4-1 to the defending champions Chiefs. While other teams were busy playing in the PSL, Bucs was out in Egypt to face Zamalek whom they lost 4-1 to in the CAF Confederations Cup, despite the heavy loss Bucs are still in contention and will now face Al Ahly in the semi’s on Friday(25-09-2015).

On other news…

Maritzburg United have fired coach Mandla Ncikazi for the teams reckless losing, yet he’s not the one playing. Javelinist Sunette Viljoen threw a javelin at SASCOC for not funding the athletes as they should she claims there’s no stipend for nutrition and no support for big medical expenses should athletes run out of funds in their medical aids. We shall all wait for other brave athletes to confirm such huge accusations.

What to look forward to…

The AAG’s will continue till Friday(18-09-2015). Pirates will face Aces in their outstanding PSL match on Friday(18-09-2015). The MTN8 final between Chiefs and Ajax will be played on Saturday(19-09-2015). The Rugby World Cup is starting on Friday(18-09-2015), and Boks will play Japan in their first match in Saturday(19-09-2015). The wounded Bulls will face Western Province on Friday(18-09-2015).

Until next week don’t moer, bleksem or maak anyone dood(punch or hit anyone to death).
